What is rasi palan?
The fruits of the sign
ராசி பலன் (rasi palan) means “the fruits of the rasi”. In Tamil homes it is read like a weather report for the inner life: a short forecast for the week or month, read from the movement of the planets through your Moon sign.
Your rasi is the sign the Moon occupied when you were born. Western astrology usually leads with the Sun; Vedic astrology, or Jyotisha, “the science of light”, leads with the Moon, which reflects the mind, feelings and daily experience.

An old way of paying attention
Jyotisha is one of the six Vedangas, the disciplines that support the Vedas, and its ideas of nine grahas, twelve rasis and twenty-seven nakshatras have shaped calendars, festivals and family life across South Asia for centuries.
Kural (குரல்) is Tamil for “voice”. Cosmic Kural is the voice of the sky: each week we listen to what the planets are doing and pass it on to you, calmly and clearly, in words you can use.

How a forecast is made

We calculate the sky
Every forecast starts from the real positions of the Sun, Moon, five visible planets, and Rahu and Ketu, computed with the Swiss Ephemeris, the astronomical library used by professional astrologers worldwide.

In the sidereal zodiac
Vedic astrology measures the signs against the fixed stars. We use the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the standard adopted by India’s Calendar Reform Committee, which today sits about 24° from the Western, tropical zodiac.

Read from your Moon sign
Each sign’s forecast follows the planets through the twelve houses counted from that rasi, together with the Moon’s daily journey, its passage through the nakshatras, and any planet changing sign or turning retrograde.

Forecasts are drafted with AI assistance from that data, then checked so that every planetary claim matches the ephemeris. We frame guidance as tendencies, never certainties, and never to frighten.
The same calculation powers our rasi calculator, so your chart and your forecast always agree. Rahu is calculated as the mean lunar node, with Ketu exactly opposite.
