Your data, handled with care

Last updated 9 October 2026. In short: we calculate charts without keeping them, and we store your email only if you ask us to.

Who we are

Cosmic Kural (“we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us at hello@cosmickural.com.

Birth chart and numerology calculators

Your name, date, time and place of birth are personal data under UK GDPR. When you use the rasi calculator, your date, time and the coordinates and time zone of your birthplace are sent to our chart server, used to calculate your chart, and discarded. We do not store them or write them to logs. Your name never leaves your browser; it only labels the chart on your screen.

The numerology calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.

Place search uses our own copy of the GeoNames place database, so the place you type is not sent to any third-party mapping service.

Shareable result cards are drawn on your device. We never receive them.

Email forecasts

If you tick the consent box and subscribe, we keep your email address, the rasi you chose, your language, where you signed up and when you consented. Our lawful basis is your consent. We use these details only to send the forecasts you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time. We never ask for, or store, your birth details for email forecasts.

Our email provider processes subscriber data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

Contact form

Messages you send us (your name, email and message) are used only to reply, under our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and are deleted after 12 months.

Cookies and analytics

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. If we use analytics, it runs only after you agree in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, which is strictly necessary and needs no consent. Your language choice is remembered in a cookie, which is also strictly necessary.

YouTube videos are not loaded until you press play, and then come from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) domain. Once a video plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, and the EU GDPR where it applies to you, you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
have it corrected or deleted;
withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
object to or restrict processing, and to data portability;
complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.

Email us to exercise any of these rights. We reply within one month.
