Rasi Palan 2027

Rasi Palan 2027: the year ahead for all twelve rasis

Jupiter moves into Simmam for its main stay on 26 June 2027, Saturn makes its first visit to Mesham from 3 June to 20 October, and Rahu and Ketu sit in Makaram and Kadagam all year. Here is what 2027 holds for each Moon sign.

The sky in 2027

Three slow planets shape any year, and in 2027 all three make news. Jupiter, the planet of growth and blessings, spends the first half back in Kadagam (Cancer), where it is exalted, then returns to Simmam (Leo) on 26 June for its main stay, before moving into Kanni (Virgo) on 26 November.

Saturn, the planet of discipline and karma, spends most of the year in Meenam (Pisces) but makes its first visit to Mesham (Aries) from 3 June to 20 October, a preview of its full move in February 2028. That shift changes who is in Sade Sati and Ashtama Sani for part of the year. Rahu and Ketu stay in Makaram (Capricorn) and Kadagam (Cancer) all year, after changing signs on 5 December 2026.

How the palan is worked out

Positions are calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris in the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa (the Thirukanitha method). Houses are counted from the Moon sign (rasi), and dates are Indian Standard Time (IST). Temple calendars that use the Vakya panchangam may give slightly different dates for the planets' sign changes.
